As the year 2010 comes to an end, what better way to celebrate than with photographs? The link above leads to TIME magazine’s photo-gallery showcasing the work of photojournalist of the year, Mauricio Lima.

These aren’t your typical snapshots of everyday life, or pretty people and things - they are compelling images of people and events that have shaped our world within the past 12 months.
